Studious weekend with the preparation of a box

Green, flashy as the main character of my story.
Well, we must imagine with the book inside and perhaps
the screenprinted title...
To follow, Step 2, the fate of the manuscript to the printer and I

The Captain took the final decision to release her books
herself, and not to accept any collaborations whatever (see
some history of "mandarine") and being the only master on
board:
Long live the indie publishing "Rosalynd4feuilles"!
You know, I'm now fed up with too long awaited answers from
editors, and fed up with the deceptions.
I promised you some news of my manuscript, well, your fingers
crossed were not enough to open the doors of editors, I have
no answers to the famous question "why?" ! My last attempt
failed, despite a real content worthy of the name: a complete
draft text: illustrations / layout. I was read and validated by a
former editor of my great friends. This is not to boast, but I
surpassed myself, and it is the first of a series (this time,
nothing will stop me).
Sarbacane Ed. just sent me an email without head (copied /
pasted, you know, with small arrows at each lines ...). No
personal comment, I wonder if they bother to open my project
and the flick ... In return, no word in the envelope ... I who have
read various interviews of E. B. where she announced her
great joy and great respect she wore to the manuscripts that
arrived on her desk, all confidence that the authors and
illustrators gave her, I confess that for me it is down forever!
Les Editions du Rouergue announced me by mail with header
this time, that my manuscript would be read by a comity and
finally sent me back a manuscript card : "Despite the qualities
of my project, it would not find place in their catalogue. " Even
if the answer is negative, I appreciate the professionalism,
discretion, attention and I thank them so much for that.lles.

2010!
I am also preparing some prints (original prints and portfolios
of screenprints unpublished) which will be available soon in
the shop of "Editions Rosalynd4feuilles".

Happy New Year !
Health, hapiness, touch of madness, joy and good
humor, imagination, compassion, solidarity, success...
The world turns crazy and anyway we're all in the same boat !
So what to do?
Take a step back, but especially not to return
to the past because nothing can be repaired. Take just the
impetus to move forward and look beyond. Ask yourself,
meditate, pushing the horizon, zoom, redraw its way to make
it better, even though we are a drop in the universe and then
your seven-league boots, go against winds and tides to meet
new faces to quit the country, choose new destinations ...
The important thing is to keep dreaming because in that case,
anything is possible !
What is the relationship between this image above extrated
of "La Belle et la Bête" by Jean Cocteau in 1946 and the
image below, Rosalynd who post envelopes to publishers ?
Answer perhaps in a few months?
Bouhouhou I'm too frisky to be finally at this stage of
the project.
Then forward and fingers crossed!
On reflection, I have not sent much to publishers apart
in 2004, recovering my ancient letters I understand that
at that time I was not ready ...
Will 2010 be the year of change, the future will tell it !

Hey ho from the boat, some news from your captain, who
will shortly change to dismount. Just a few miles above, a
few wing beats of seagulls, to invest a little cottage worthy
of the name will also dubbed "the Cottage". A small corner
of paradise "so British" just for us, with an orchard full to bursting
(enough to fill the holds and sailing time) and soon to be
accompanied by a royal garden. Let's cultivate our garden

My book project just waiting for some details on cover and
let's go shipping ... but for now I'm active on another project
with fifteen illustrations to deliver for November (the deadline is
short ...) to create the new show for a friend storyteller.

their turn to leave the drawing board ...

Since Monday, I'm on vacation (well deserved, oh yes!), As
I always give a lot in everything I do, it's too tendency to
encroach on my own projects and it weighs me many ...
then this week you can imagine, was operated at its maximum.
So just a quick hello to reassure the troops. It is not because
I don't give you more news that my work doesn't go, rather, I
focus on my goals really, I learned to make concessions with the
internet, that is for me today a window, a tool, just a showcase of
what I want to show.
Yes zooming in my illustrations (as opposed my old site) with
all due respect to some, to prevent looting (ideas, images, texts ...)
and then this site is primarily for professionals in publishing, so ...
Since 2004, I passed the status of novice and my style is fairly well
marked now! Initially, I was illustration and long sought after
collaborations with authors not interested, I had of necessity, put me
write my own stories. It was hard because it needed more illustration
and the job (I am Assistant in a Gallery of Contemporary Art,
in a workshop of engraving and bookbinding), devote time to writing,
but I made it today and I am delighted and I feel full and
stronger to impose a real identity of author - illustrator solo.
My favorite motto "What does not kill me makes me stronger!"
As I announced on my blog, my book project affects an end and soon
the entire book will go to the meeting and tied bound some carefully
selected publishers. For now, I' m self - editing and being published in the
vast machinery of the youth edition is right for me to achieve a better
visiblility, but not an end in itself. I am really a passionate artist
sensitive, first and foremost, the publishing house ideal for me to be
human have a soul and a face, have an artistic look and care
its productions, I really want a real collaboration in a and joyful
atmosphere, a house full of sun with an identity, a true meeting
with publishers to make their happy job and that I could fully trust to
defend my projects. I think just for the moment not to have met the
right person but I feel that time is near ...
Ah, yes I forgot, I also used these days for holiday sailing to England
and spend 2 days in London for me and see ressourcer very close
to the paintings that I wanted to see for a long time (some more images
to see my blog).
That the company soon for more !

A Small engraving printed, fast sailing on 2009.
23 numbered and signed linocuts, over the bridge facing the sun

It's alright, the boat fleets since 13 January 2008 and takes
cruising speed, nimble and fast, he knows how
capture wind and tame ...nocapture and tame ...
On the captain's cabin.
Today we chart the road to 2009 and the race against
the clock can start.

After 4 years of existence, and about 7000 about connections, on
December 13 2008, Rosalynd4feuilles.com, the website of
Sandrine Bélart author-illustrator, painter, graphic designer from
Pas-de-Calais, France, is revamped.
New course, new destinations (a French and an English version)
more sober, more productive, more effective in reaching the coast
and throw anchor.
In the hold of this brand new sloop, chests filled with new projects(as
an author-illustrator), artist books, painter, from single or very few
copies for collectors of rare objects, treasures that will remain secret
until they published (in broad daylight).
The Blog also follows the manoeuvre and set up a new black and
white flag, a feline "Jolly Roger" with a name always numbered:
the "Cat o' nine tails".

Latest news from my desk ... I am now considered an example
of a text I wrote some time ago but I am really about (PS: My
texts are not in line for the sake of protection of my rights).
A book in color illustration done in traditional acrylic which will
once finished among Frenchs Publishers, or foreigners, and anyway
autoedited through at "the Rosalynd4feuilles Publishings."
Today I'm doing a real change in my work illustration, with the
affirmation of a style "rosalynd4feuilles." Finally a recognizable
identity that is characterized by the color work much deeper, more
mixed, more nuanced, more meditated, which can vary from mild
register for any Small to the darkest corners of fantastic adventure
stories, which can even switch in a totally surreal, disturbing ...
(photo does not match).
Another book colored in the same style (therefore it is already
in progress), another format, feeling, a very important story to
me, but so fraught with meaning ... To be continued ...
Other stories are still in my box waiting for their tour (and
boxes are heavy), the list is long, some are in a stand by position,
others are to be rehabilited, and it is to follow ...
I also continues to paint in parallel, in a similar style ...
Less decorative paintings, it is a choice, but definitely more
painting-painting (deep sensitive ...) to connect with my
origins as a painter. Looking for an exhibition in a place
outside of the ordinary, unusual, (but which place ... for the
moment nothing for ...), I still seeks love at first sight. More
clashes classic, now I think more a space, setting atmosphere
(paintings, illustrations, volumes ...) works of light. Again
it is to follow ...
